Aromatherapy Tips and Hints:
Always store essential oils in tightly closed coloured glass bottles and keep out of direct sunlight.
Always use hot water for vapourisers and oil burners then add your favourite essential oils.
Pure essential oils are volatile and should not be taken internally.
If you are taking homeopathic medicines, avoid eucalyptus and peppermint as they may counteract the homeopathic effects.
Do not use essential oils during pregnancy
Essential Oils should not be used directly on the skin with the exception of Lavender and in some instances, Tea tree.
Essential Oils are added to 'carrier' oils for application on the skin
If you do not have a carrier oil such as sweet almond oil, Olive oil (used for cooking) makes a great alternative!
